Some musings on my brief trip to Asia. This was my second time to China and my first time to Japan (and it just so happened to coincide with the annual Cherry Blossom Festival). Because I had been to China previously and I speak the language, my friend begged me to be her guide. Granted, she did not have to do much begging for me to wholeheartedly agree!

Hakone

Our goal for the day was to see Mt. Fuji, however, it just wasn't in the cards for us. Although we ended up having a magnificent day anyway. I had never been on so many different modes of transportation in 1 day before!

The day's agenda included:

Multiple transportation experiences in Hakone...

Trainride from Tokyo to Hakone
Busride to Lake Ashi
Walk along the Ancient Cedar Avenue
Boatride through Lake Ashi
Cablecar ride on the Hakone Roapway
Trainride to the Open-Air Art Museum
Busride to the Yunessun Onsen
Trainride from Hakone to Tokyo

and...

Dinner in a Kaiseki-ryori

Hey awesome photos. Great rewview:) I just recently did the Hakone trail but missed cedar aveune we did the old tokaido highway. Going back up to Hakone in July can't wait love onsens.
