Random waterfall on the way to Puyo
Got to Baños, a tropical area close to volcanoes and the jungle at about 8 PM, went to about 4 different hostals, all full, got frustrated before finally finding a place, walked around to check out the jungle tours and other stuff to do around town. Met up wtih 2 others signing up to do a canyoning tour, AKA repelling down waterfalls the next day (Rainforestur, 25 bucks) Got some food, headed to the hostal.
July 9th: Woke up pretty early to get to the tour agency at 9:00. Went with a group of 4 others after getting suited up in wet suits, shoes, these diaper type things to protect yourself if you fall and harnesses. 
Took a truck about 10 mins outside of town to a succession of multiple waterfalls and hiked up a little ways to the first 
waterfall (maybe 35 feet).
El Pailon del Diablo
Got everything set up, and repelled down the face of the waterfall (pic). Also jumped from some rocks about 20-25 feet up, pretty exciting, and one of the other girls changed her mind as she was almos off the rock, turned and slid down the rock on her stomach...pretty entertaining. The 2nd was a little shorter and the 3rd was "el grande"....about 150 feet or so, the first 25 feet or so you have your feet on the rock, then after youre just hanging...letting yourself down as you get pounded by the waterfall. Didnt get any pics of myself cuz I was the first one to go down and had to take the waterproof bag wtih the
cameras, but theres a pic of one of the others, hopefully you can see at the bottom a little red helmet. We all posed with our diaper type things and me with our guide.

Headed back to Baños to watch Italy and France, France shoulda won, oh well, my teams were already out of the cup. Got some pad thai (yet to try the guinea pig thats a delicacy here (pic), about the only good asian food ive had since coming to south america, met some old semi-perverted guy from Chile who was exiled 32 years ago during the military
regime and has been living in Ecuador since. We talked about pretty much everything for an hour or two from girls, politics, being young, traveling.
July 10th: Motor biking all day....Honda 250....not gonna lie, it tore me up AKA it it knocked me of a couple times as I was trying to get up to a good view of Volcano Tangarahua ??? to see some of the eruptions. Waterfalls, tunnels. Mexican food.
July 11th: Talking with the Colombian, relaxing, sauna, lunch with the Canadian girl, massage, Dead Poets Society
July 12th: Baños de la Virgen before sunrise, good breakfast, cemetery, wandering, talking with the Sri Lanka girl
