On our three-country tour of Europe to visit friends for the holidays, we stopped to visit our friends John and Kelly from our time together in Germany and Hawaii. John was working a great job at the U.S. Embassy in Paris which we got to get an insiders tour while we stopped through. Kelly and John also had a view of the Arc de Triomphe from their French apartment. They even had a chocolatier named for Jeff located right across the street!
Paris in the winter was dreary and misty, but it made for some fascinating shots of the Eiffel Tower rising into the clouds. Jeff was also impressed that he found the Berlitz office for Jenny (Jenny worked for Berlitz Language Centers in France, Germany and DC) while he was distracted by the huge billboards of his favorite Victoria's Secret model, Laetitia Costa from Normandy, France. We also did some window shopping at the huge department stores downtown and were mesmerized by the action-packed window displays still running after Christmas. We all enjoyed dressing up for a fantastic French meal (including Jeff's favorite assorment of stinky French blue cheeses!) before heading out to a private New Year's party.
