Planes and a ferry
Today I got up early because my flight was leaving Chiang Rai at 08:20. Together with the Canadian girl from yesterday we already arranged a tuc-tuc to pick us up at the guesthouse. The tuc-tuc was early so we were at the airport early enough. After drinking some coffee (that was all the breakfast I could get) we boarded the flight.
I was actually sitting more comfortable on this budget Air Asia flight than I was on the flight into Bangkok! The plane landed in Bangkok 5 minutes before schedule so I had some more time to run to the baggage claim, get my bag and run back to check in again for my flight to Surat Thani. At this point I said goodbye to the Canadian girl who had a flight to Krabi.
Arriving at the Surat Thani airport there were really no options to get to the pier to go on a ferry, but to buy a 550 Baht combi-ticket for the bus and a ferry to Ko Pha Ngan so I did that. The bus was almost late so I had to run to get on the ferry on time. The ferry took 2,5 hours to get to Ko Pha Ngan. There I took a taxi to Hat Rin where I had to walk for another twenty minutes (in 30+ degrees Celcius) to the Lighthouse Bungalows where I was going to stay.
The bungalow I'm in has a balcony with a hammock and an awesome view on the sea and Ko Samui in the distance. I was pretty tired from the travelling so I just hung out in my hammock listening to my MP3 player and reading my book.
