Poker in Reno

Yes, like my profile photo says, I DO have a little Captain in me! : )
I don't know why, but I seem to have a natural affinity for poker.  I rarely lose.  At times I wonder what it might be like to become a professional poker player, but then I think the novelty and fun would go away.  Besides, I like my current day job and though poker is fun, I don't REALLY like to gamble.  Who knows if pitted against professionals I would find that I actually suck!  Anyway, I do occasionally lose and I often break even (for all intents and purposes, like I quit after a few hours only up say $20...but that pays for lunch, right?) but more often than not I double my money.  This was the case for me once again on this trip.  I can't remember how my buddies fared, but I doubled my money twice.  $200 free money is always nice.  Nothing big, but a win is a win!  :  )  Reno is a fun, laid back version of Vegas...a nice change of pace every once in a while.  I used to head over here often when I lived in the Bay Area.

Hi! I agree with you about Reno being a fun, laid back version of Vegas! And I enjoy a day trip to Virginia City when in the Reno/Tahoo area. Reading your blog makes me want to go back! Have a great day!
