Maybe the best hot tub in the world!

We kept making our way along the East Cape to TeKaha.  Here we stayed with a family in TeKaha Homestead Lodge.  The actual house and dorm left much to be desired (I seem to remember Sarah saying she felt like she was staying in an orphanage) but it had possibly the best hot tub in the world.  We took a nice walk along the beach and then got into the tub, which was about 2m from the beach, and watched the sunset.  It was so nice!  It was customary that every group coming to stay with the family had to sing a song before the meal and the family sang a song back to us.  We were not that creative and settled for "Doe a Dear" (nice easy lyrics).  The songs they sang back to us were quite crude and the man of the house was an absolute character.  With the son playing the guitar and the grandma getting drunk in the corner, Sarah again piped up that it was the the NZ Osbournes.  We did have a really delicious meal.  The best fish I've ever eaten - caught in the Bay of Plenty that very day.  After dinner we went back down into the hot tub, listened to tunes, drank wine and admired the stars.  In continuing with the theme of the trip, we froze our asses off again that night.

After breakfast with the family we were on our way again.
