Something for young and old as well as those in between:)
Skansen lies on the Island of Djurgården a royal park near Stockholm center. The only time of the year they are closed is on Christmas Eve so there are never any excuses for not being able to go here:)
I have been to Skansen since i was a little girl and the last time i was there was with my kids. When i was younger living in Stockholm my parents used to take us here for May 17, Norway's indepence day, where there were a lot of Norwegians gathering for the annual parade.
At Skansen there are a Zoo, park and garden, living history, food and drink (but nice to bring your own too since there are areas to sitt and eat),shopping, festivals, glasswork shop, aquarium and so much more. There are different programs throught out the year so this is worth visiting if you have time when you're in Stockholm..
ENjoy, i know i did and will do next time i arrive at Skansen..
