Some newspaper in Slovenia organized a voting by people for seven Slovenian wonders. So here they are! (btw: photos in this blog are not mine but searched on the internet)

No.6: cerkev Sv. Roka s kalvarijo

Church of St. Rok was built during 1645 to 1666 and lies on 369 meters.

Path leading to the church with stairs took 10 years to finish, during 1747 - 1757. Next to the zigzag way to the church there are 14 chapels symbolizing Way of the Cross. They are situated in the way that the person going up only sees the chapel in front of him and each chapel tells a story.

Names or the chapels and what they present (from bottom to top):

Chapel of St. Rok (kapela sv. Roka), Scapular chapel (Škapulirska kapela), Jusus in jail (Jezus v ječi), chapel of sad Mother of God (Kapela žalostne matere božje), Jesuss goodbye to his mother (Jezusovo slovo od mater), Mount of Olives (Oljska gora), St. Peter (Sv. Peter), Whipping (Bičanje), Jesus in chains (Jezus v verigah), Coronation (Kronanje), Jesus mourns (Jezus žaluje), Jesus carries cross (Jezus nese križ),  Calvary (Kalvarija), Holy stairways with the Holy Sepulcher (Svete stopnice z božjim grobom).

(I don’t know much about Christianity so I’m sorry if there are some mistakes in these names).
