Sunday: All We Really Wanted Was Snow....

...but what we got was nasty, cold rain! We get enough of that in Birmingham!!! We had all prayed, literally prayed, for snow for that trip. It got us rain, hovering around the 40-degree tempeture mark! Miserable!
We dragged everyone out of bed and to church in Hendersonville. Its was your typical Southern Baptist church...the preacher was big and loud, the choir sung old hymns, and the little old ushers all stood outside in the lobby the entire service talking old-men-gossip. Funny.
After church we took everyone to Grandma and Grandpa Just's house to meet them and the aunts and uncles. She of course fed us cookies! Cousin Brenden decided to hang out with us for the afternoon too! Brenden fits right in with our group!
For lunch we went back to the cabin.
Jump Off Rock is special for me and Scott beacuse the first time he took me to Hendersonville, we visited and got great pics there and then we went back on our honeymoon. We had not been back since our honeymoon 6 years earlier (thus the difficulty in finding the park!) We took our obligatory pictures and everyone explored the rock. We manageed to keep Jon and Aaron from falling off the mountain.
