I've always wanted to visit Haeinsa...but it's kind of difficult to get here without a car. It's located in a remote mountain.

BUt I am sooo glad I decided to come here. I think it was my first trip with just my mom. We really didn't make any plans of staying overnight because by car it takes at most 3 hours so we thought we could just take a day trip.

But we liked the place so much we decided to stay overnight. The bad thing about the area is that it is so remote there are no good places to stay. We had to go to the mountainside where they have some leisure activities to find a nice hotel.

Before I went to Haeinsa I looked on their web and was able to book a guided tour for free. People don't know that there is this option. So we had 1 hour private tour which was great!
