Marina Cay
We made our way to shore as swiftly as possible after mooring, and paid $4 each for the world's fastest shower in the public bathrooms there - they had slots like a laundromat! Fortunately, my hair is very short and my shower was almost comfortable compared with the poor other ladies who had to suffer through with only rinsing or pay $12 for enough time to actually cleanse. :)
After being on land again, my tummy started to love me again, and I bought some crackers from the overpriced souvenier shop and felt a little better. All of us except Aunt Donna (who stayed behind to do some laundry) hiked the easy little path to the top of the island where a few rental cabins were and got the view from up there - gorgeous! The whole island is only about 8 acres.
Tonight's dinner was at the restaurant on the beach, Pusser's, and we ate too much as usual. Somehow it tasted better than usual, though, maybe because my stomach was remembering anew how much it loved steady, dry land and a good bite to eat. :)
