Villefranche sur Mer, a small fishing village with a fantabulous beach

The last stop of the day was Villefranche sur Mer. I wasn't sure which bus stop we needed, so we got off where we thought was close to the town. Turns out we were basically a town before where we wanted. After getting lost, we started walking along the autoroute in the direction we thought was the town. Once we saw it, we had to figure out how to get down to the town below. Eventually we figured it out and went straight to the beach. Around this town and Cap Ferret (the next town over) is where a lot of celebrities have ridiculously expensive vacation homes such as Elton John, Sean Connery ...
We were pretty tired from walking all day, so the plan was to see nothing but the beach, the view from the beach and to find a crepe restaurant. The beach didn't have sand, but instead, really little stones (about the size of 1/4 a pencil eraser).
There were some kids there and their mother told them to stop doing something. The little girl replied "pourquoi?" and the mom answered back "parce que!!". (why/how come? because!!). That made me laugh since the same thing happens in English! :)
After a relaxing couple hours on the beach, we had supper at a restaurant that specialized in crepes ... lunch crepes and dessert crepes. It was a hard decision but I went with a lunch type crepe (no sugar or chocolate). It was yummy, but I still wanted to covered it in maple syrup (something not very accessible around here).
It was starting to get dark so we caught the train back to Nice.
I booked a single room in a little bed and breakfast called "Home Sweet Home". It was so quiet it was almost too quiet but I wasn't complaining after the 14 bed room I had the night before!!
