Monaco, home of a world famous casino, and expensive cars (oh and a Grand Prix race)
So on we went to Monaco. The bus ride in was breathtaking. Overall, the city is pretty small but everything looks expensive. We wandered around until we arrived at the Casino. A few of us went inside. We paid the 10 euro to get into the casino (yes you have to pay to lose money). I couldn't go to the casino and not gamble at least a little bit so I played the slot machines. I would have liked to have played Black jack but we were there when it opened and there was only roulette and some other game I didn't recognize. The Casino itself wasn't very impressive, although I'm sure the atmosphere is quite different at night when it's packed with people.
After that we roamed around, walked along part of the street that was starting to be transformed for the grand prix and ate a picnic lunch on a pier in the middle of the marina. I could think of worse places to eat lunch!
After that we hiked up the top of a hill and saw the prince's palace and the church where the prince and Grace Kelly were married (and later buried). It's a huge cathedrale .. very impressive. After a quick tour, we took the bus along the water and me and Marissa stopped in Villefranche Sur Mer, while the other girls continued on back to Nice.
