Second trip to Upper Park
More gorgeous scenery. Very sparse and gray-brown, but beautiful still.
This time we walked along the creek on the Yahi trail (accessed off of Lower Trail a ways down). A few times we got in the way of another group taking photographs - but they got in our way a few times too. They were very nice, and obviously much more into photography than we were, since they carried tripods and backpacks with gear! They also had two adorable dogs, one of which was afraid of my hat, they told me.
Just as we were about to turn around, we got to a really cool section of the creek that used to be a swimming hole - called Bear Hole. It had such amazing rocks, but the light was fading and none of our pictures, we knew, would really turn out. We decided we'll drive straight up to that place next time, as it has it's own parking lot, and start hiking from there.
