Tanabata Festival
The Tanabata Festival is usually held on July 7 in Japan but in Mobara it is held in late July instead when it is already summer break for most people. Held mostly on shopping malls and streets decorated with colorful streamers, this festival is surely not to be missed. The Tanabata festival is the most popular summer event held in this city close to the Pacific Ocean. I didn't really know about these stuff that I just wrote right now until I have done a 2 minute research about it in the internet (thanks Wikipedia). I only found 3 to 4 sentences written about it on my diary which really sucks because I don't really remember much of the details on this day.
So this is what I wrote exactly on my diary:
"We went to Mobara, a festival there.
Very very reliable source of nothing. Now what do I write here? We went to Mobara, a festival there... it was very interesting... the lanterns and decors were beautiful.. there were lots of hot guys hehe.. took lots of pics... then went home and ate at bamyan (cha-han)...

Okay. I really liked this festival since it made the scene beautiful with all the colorful streamers on the streets. You can tell that it's a very much celebrated and popular festival because of how crowded it was. There was traffic! You couldn't walk in normal speed and I don't even know why exactly we were walking. Was there something more cooler on the other end of the street? I don't know, we didn't make it because there was just too much people.
Like many other festivals, they also have food and amusement stalls here. Most people, usually the young ones, were wearing their traditional summer cloting called Yukata. There were dance rituals and concerts as well. Snacks varied from yakitori, grilled fish and squid, banana choco, crepes and many others....
And yeah, that's pretty much all I can say about it.
