A Day In Batam

When you're stressed out of the hectic life in Singapore, there's absolutely so much things you can do to escape the busy life in this island, even for just a day or two.  Visiting the nearby islands of Malaysia and Indonesia is always an option especially when you're tired of seeing skyscrapers and towering condominium buildings everyday.  Batam, Indonesia, being one of the most accessible Indonesian islands from Singapore is definitely worth checking out.

A day trip package tour is easy to purchase.  You can either get it from travel agencies or directly from the ticketing center at Harbourfront, which usually cost around $50 inclusive of lunch in a seafood restaurant, and a guided tour of the island.

They say there's absolutely nothing to do in Batam.  But once you're there, you'll find out that the island has some good things to offer to its visitors.  And just being there will definitely make you realize the good side of having a simple life.
