Trujillo

Trujillo is located in La Libertad. Trujillo is the capital of La Libertad and is one of the most important cities of the country. It has economical and commerce importance.

We arrived to Trujillo at the evening/night. Just had enough time to check in, take a shower and walk a bit around this friendly city. The city has been designed in 3 circles, so it’s impossible getting lost here. We walked around downtown, watching all the people walking fast.

The food here was really good and cheap too. There are a lot of small stores and street vendors, who sell all the traditional dishes, desserts and snacks. I felt like a child in a huge candy store, hehehe. We bought some traditional snacks and walked around the Main Square.  We had chifles (banana chips), chips of lima beens and as dessert we had a piece of King Kong (a traditional sort of cake made with cream caramel and fruit jam - yummy!!!). I even found a lady selling boiled corn. Our white and giant corn, hahaha. I couldn't help it and bought one ;)

It has been a long day, so we just went to sleep early. But before going back to the hotel, we stopped in a small bar to have a drink ;)
