We were 6 friends from Germany, France and Argentina to go for a 10 day trip to Ireland. The idea of this trip was to discover the green country though its landscape and little villages, so upon arrival in Dublin we jumped in our little cars....direction West. We got 10 sunny days, just to say that it does not rain all the time in Ireland, we even came back with sunburns so don't forget sunscreen!!

We stayed in youth hostels the whole time, which was very pleasant and quiet most of the time in may. Besides staying in hostels, we crossed a lot of B&B offers along our way.

Our first night was in Cong's youth hostel. It's a relatively big one where it's very easy to meet lots of foreigners starting their irish journey.

I remember meeting people coming from australia and the US there. the next morning, we left the busy hostel for the very quiet little irish street from the Connemara...direction Lough Nafooey! And after travelling for just 10 km, we already met the irish hills owners: the Sheep. they are kings there and they know it, so our blue car and its occupants have to deal with their rules. It's so peaceful and relaxing to stop by one of these lakes, and see the time passing by in this tree-free land.

Later, it was a great surprise to arrive on such white sandy beaches (Mannin Bay and Roundstone) with crystal clear water and sunshine over our heads. We didn't imagine such a place would exist in europe. Blue, white, green, black...The colours were amazing in sunny Ireland and that was only the begining....
