Ich liebe Munchen
This city is just fantastic! It holds a special place in my heart because it is my first city I went to in Europe. I really was impressed with the people, cleanliness of the city, food and GOD the beer!! It is great that they were able to rebuild the city after WWII, because it is a true gem.
We stayed at the Le Meridien that is right next to the train station, was a bit of a walk to Marienplatz.
We went to Marienplatz and then on to the beer garden that is there. We met 2 local couples who were nice enough to take us to another beer garden that was not touristy. We also go to see where Oktoberfest was and see the beer tents being built. I was lucky to be able to go back to Munich in September to attend Oktoberfest. I was completely amazed at how huge it was, just like an amusement park. It was great fun!!
