We left Bateman's Bay at about 10am, got a lift to the bus stop which was awesome as it was pouring rain. The ride to Wollongong was 4 hours long. I ended up sitting next to an Aussie guy my age and we watched Eurotrip on my Ipod. He offered for us to stay at his place in Sydney, which I might have to take up lol. On the way there too there was so much flooding on the roads! I've never seen so much it was insane! I took lots of pictures like a real tourist:). We got there at like 2:00 and our hostel was about 2 minutes from the coach stop. We checked in and already didn't like this place as much as the others.
love this picture!
It was very unpersonable. We had a family room and Nick and Steve shared a double bed:) haha. We put our stuff down and then wandered around town. It was raining again so we went into a mall. This is definitely the biggest town yet. We got some groceries and also bought tickets to see American Gangster that night. After going back to the hostel and showering and whatnot we were ready to go again when the fire alarm went off! Nick started yelling 'grab your passports' and they were running around like crazy people it was so funny. It was just a false alarm but it was pretty intense. We went up and saw the movie at 8:30, it was soo good! I loved it, Denzel is sweet. When we got back we went to bed and told funny stories. It was good times.
Today! I'm finally up to date:) We woke up and it was sunny! So we went to the beach! It was about a 15 minute walk and it was really hot, much better than rain.
We went to the main beach and there was a few people surfing there. The waves were so big! It was awesome, I tanned for a bit then me and Nick did some body surfing, which was really intense. Lots of fun though. After lounging around for a while we decided to walk around again, this was at like 2. We went to the mall and had some lunch and then came back here. And ever since then I've been updating my blog! Its raining now again, tonight we're gunna go out for our last supper as tomorrow we're back in Sydney. It was so rainy and thundery when we left but we walked up to a bar down the street for a couple drinks and some pool. Cheap beer too, which was sweet. We started talking to some Aussie guys that go to school here and they seemed really cool. Nick and me went out for dinner at a Chinese restaurant across the street.
Probably the shittiest chinese food ever. Then we went back and there were a couple more aussies there now who were also awesome. In honor of our last night in the Gong we went on a little pub crawl. We walked down to a club called the Glass House that was really cool. One of the guys there was really drunk and very entertaining to say the least haha...he kept yelling 'Ya Hear me!' into random strangers ears and put a ton of straws in his pocket. Strange. I talked to a guy who was in Paris the same time as me last year! Crazy. We stayed at that bar for a bit and then went to a place down the street called Cooneys, which was super busy too, which is wierd because its a Wednesday night in a small town. But then I found out wednesday is Uni nights. We stayed at that bar till like 2:30am and I got back to the hostel at 3ish but Nick and Steve were so loud we didn't go to sleep till 4am. It was a sweet night though, I had so much fun!
