sam and elle just before they left for their year long rtw trip :(
So I rarely update this thing because my weeks pretty much just consist of working all week and going out all weekend..but I want to update about yesterday, the AFL's Grand Final! I was so excited because it was my first one and I am in Melbourne so everyone gets really into it. On Friday night we went to Hawthorn, to the Geebung to have dinner with Sam and Elle, my ex housemates who were FINALLY going overseas(their UK work visas never came so they had to change their flight and pretty much rearrange their whole trip!) but we called it a night pretty early as the next day was going to be pretty big.

Me and Donna got up early to shower and get ready to go the airport to say goodbye to Sam and Elle and pick up a couple of their friends that flew in from Tassie.

We hung around at the airport for about an hour and then came home to get on the drink! The BWS had a sale, 8 cruisers for $22!! What a deal..I couldn't refuse. Then we came home, started drinking at about 11, had 3 cruisers in me by 12 when we left to meet up with the rest of the crew. And it was absolutely gorgeous weather, Ana said it was going to get to 28 degrees! Awesome. We took a train to Flinders station, then to Richmond(along with the rest of the city! haha thats where the MCG is) and found our way to the Swan Hotel/Pub. We passed the Precinct and there was a MASSIVE line to get in and it wasn't even 1:00! Crazy.

When we got to the Swan it was packed and we searched around for everyone only to discover they had booked a private room upstairs! There was our own flat screen TV, like no people at all except us and another group, and our own bar! It was awesome because downstairs was crazy.
go hawks!!
The game started at 2:30 I think and by that time most everyone was off their face. We had all picked players names out of a hat and wrote those names on our hand and everyime that player kicked a goal we had to skull our drink. Damn you Roughead! He is the reason I got sick..Anyways, we had a blast there, the game was amazing.. Hawthorn beat Geelong HAHA. So good, after the game we drank for a bit more and then decided we needed to eat. We caught a tram to Chapel street and went to a dodge 24 hour bar for Thai food that was actually really good! and cheap as too, $10 for any meal. There was noone there when we went, which was about 8pm, because people all go there after the clubs close..to do illegal things..

After dinner most everyone went home! Lamewads, but they were all going to parklife today so they wanted to get a good sleep. Me and Kate caught a tram back to the Swan which was still packed as, with soo many pissed people there. We got over it pretty quick and we all went home at about 10:30! I had an awesome cab driver who was soo funny. and gave me a few bucks off my fare! It seems to happen whenever I go out..haha theres some awesome cab drivers in Melbourne!
