A trip around Argentina, Uruguay and Chile, the highlight of which was the land crossing across the Andes. We simply had to travel on to Florida as well because the airfare cost only a tad more.

BLOG: Crossing the River Plate

It was a very bleak day when we boarded the big modern ferry to take us across the River Plate, from Buenos Aires to Colonia del Sacramento in neighbouring Uruguay.  It was equally bleak at our destination.  Fortunately we had a very warm and cosy hotel to stay in.
