Back at San Andrea
June 2, 2005
We went back to San Andrea as yestrday we noticed that you could hire speed boats ( at a really good price). The owner, Daniele said that we wouldn't be able to have one until 2pm as they had all been rented out, so we made our way back to Capo Andrea rocks to relax for a few hours.
The time came for us to get our boat :-) Daniele took us out for a few mins to show us the ropes and off we went. We left the harbour and went towards the West to explore round there. It was really fun and thrilling. Bjoern got carried away at times and went so fast that i thought I would fly off at any moment. We anchored off in some places to swim a bit. Actually this was a good way to get to really secluded coves where there's a small area of sand just for you :-) The time went by so fast and soon we had tobring the boat back. Danielle told us that we could have gone much further as we had enough petrol to go for many hours. Ah well, we know for next time!!
In the evening we went to Portoferraio which is a harbour town where people who have a lot of money and expensive yachts anchor. We tried to find ap lace for dinner and came across a place that was full of people so we went there. the fodo and service was excellent. I tried a limoncello for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it. Afterwards we went for a stroll and looked at all the private boats thatwere docked there. Some of them looked really beautiful and were probably worth milions!!
After we had enough we went back to the appt , tired after a long but exciting day :-)
