-30 Degrees in Harbin
It was 6AM and we have finally arrived in Harbin. We already knew it was a lot colder than Beijing... but holla! I felt like i was inside a huge freezer, ready to be transformed into an ice sculpture any moment. IT WAS NEGATIVE 30 DEGREES! Left with no choice, I just took it as a welcome experience. After all, I came from a tropical country and not everyone is given the chance to come across this entirely unfamiliar weather. We met our tour guide David whose tolerance with cold weather I admire as he was not wearing a bonnet nor hand gloves right that very morning (i was wearing 2 of each items!)!
Good thing Kunlun Hotel was just right in front of the train station. We just had to take a few steps outside, and we're already in our home for the next 2 days. We couldn't check in yet as they had full occupancy that day and standard check in time is at 12noon. We were instead led by david to the restaurant inside where we had a good, HOT breakfast.
After the breakfast, we decided to go on with the tour so as not to waste any time. Our first stop: THE JETSKI RESORT!
