Mural inside the Opera House
I left from LA around midnight. A smart thing because I was able to fall asleep for a couple of hours and made the trip go a little quicker. But lets be honest, it is a long trip. Once I got there I dropped my bags off at the hotel and made my way to the Opera House. A must see in my opinion. The tour wasn't bad but I kind of wish that I could see a performance while I was there. Unfortunately none were going on. After seeing the Opera House I made my way over to the gardens that were next to the Opera House. The gardens are huge! Lot to see including an exhibit on flowers that look beautiful but are actually deadly. Afterwards made my way to the dock where I took a ferry across the harbour to see the Tonga Zoo. The Zoo is built on a hill. You take a gondala up to the top and make your way down the hill seeing all the animal exhibits. Kind of an interesting way to see them. Something I have never seen before for a zoo. The next day I did the Bridge Walk. This is where you climb the Sydney Bridge to the top. It is really nice and can get a great view of the city. Unfortunately you can't bring your camera to take pictures. I guess they figure you will drop it on a car passing by below, which would be really bad.
