Back Home
We are now back home after a 22-hour drive in a Saturn sedan with two huge chocolate Labrador Retrievers in our backseat. The cold temperatures hit us shortly after we got into Georgia and then the snow greeted us in Indiana. Nothing like a cold welcome home to numb our senses.
Alright, so I can't complain. I love sweater weather but still wish it could stay just mild enough for sweaters and not dip down into the negative windchills like it will do this week in Milwaukee. Needless to say, we did have a great time in Florida and miss it already.
Would we do it again? Yes, but not by small car... and maybe not by land at all. It was just too cramped for us but either way it was well worth the trip to see family and have some vacation time. Now it is onto the real world once again and that means working our rears off to pay for our next big vacation overseas next year for our 10-year anniversary. Oh how I can't wait! *smile*
