4 Years ago I left the cold of Norway to study in Australia - Me and my housemate to be were supposed to travel Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Perth/Melbourne together, but I ended up going it alone! It was the biggest jump out the door I'd ever taken...

Kuala Lumpur

After Bangkok it was on to Kuala Lumpur and the Twin Towers last used by James Bond, or was that Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible!? Either way - I never went up - que was too long!
It was interesting to walk around in K.L. - didn't really seem that big, you walked from housing areas to temples and trainstations to shopping malls and streets all in one day - off course if you wanted to explore it took longer!
Out of the places I've been so far in my life ths was possibly the least interesting - generally speaking.
However, as I was waiting for the plane in Bangkok I found myyself sitting opposite an American with exactly the same thought as me - why rush onto the plane immediately after they start boarding, you have to sit there and wait for everyone else anyways! We started talking and before I new it I had made dinner plans for the evening!

He was going there for business, and had two other partners he was meeting up with - we all went out that evening, they took me to a buffé-style restaurant which also had a show on - think it was compiled of different Asian dance styles and music - There was a lot of good food on the menu =) and just the same I had my worst food experience ever!
I'm not a big fan of 'chewy' stuff - fish bones for example makes me wanna throw up - I went to the buffé and picked up a few things, for instance some BIG deep fried prawns - as I sunk my teeth into it and bit of a chunk, started chewing, I realised I had bitten of the entire prawns head - shell, eyes, brain (or whatever they have in there) - they had deepfried the entire prawn as it was caught, shell, tail everything - and it was really REALLY 'chewy'!!!
Blessed be napkins - that's all I can say!
All in all it was a really good night though =) I found out the next day that between the 4 of us we went through 9 bottles of red wine - i didn't even think that was possible in one night, but hey.
