A look into the past
Kropa is an old Slovenian town that was founded on two merits.  A plentiful, fast flowing water supply and rich veins of iron ore.  Hence the town became well known for its iron works and blacksmiths.  This museum traces the history of the town from the 14th century to present and presents an insightful look at the Slovenian people of this region of the country.

Besides the museum there is a working furnace where you can go and practice your blacksmithing skills and try to make some nails that the area was famous for.
