The guy who took me to Karigasniemi was a young guy coming back from a festival in the south and going to visit a friend who was moving out. We talked all the way about Finland and about Hospitality Club which I promoted to him after the 100km done of the road between Inari and Karigasniemi (where the relief gets more illy and mountain alike and where the reindeer are still dominating) I arrived to the main place of the settlements of Karigasniemi where Paivii was waiting for me and knew it was me already as there is basically no other cars driving around...
She then took me over to her place and I had a drink and she immediately suggest that we could go hiking... Of course!
So we got in the car and drove to the nearest mountains and did all we could with the car.
Once back at her place we talked about everything and nothing, travel and previous guests. Finally, I used the Internet before getting to sleep in a comfy bed.
The waking up was early but I had time to shower, eat and look over how the sauna was build. Finally, one of Paivii's colleague arrived and we talked hockey before talking the road to Norway to the nearest city of Karasjok where they both work.
As well as Inari is the Sami capital for Finland, Karasjok is the sami capital for Norway... also that passing back to Norway was bringing me back one hour behind was making it quite early. So they left me at the exit of village by this chill morning and I waited, waited waited as there was simply no cars. In the meantime, I wrote on my diary and its the second car who stopped in front of me, which was an Italian camping car who already had picked a french HH on the way and I was the second... actually they were driving all the way to Nordkapp and it made me doubt about if I was doing the road with them especially as they were pretty cool.
The Italian couple was driving their camping car all the way now to Nordkapp then along the Norvegian fjord down to Bergen to catch the ferry with they van to go to Iceland... Quite a journey!!!
I promoted HC to both them and the french guy and finally I sticked to my previous plan and got out in Lakselv to go meet Anne...
