Around some volcanoes

After 2 lifts, the first one giving by 2 young guys helping us getting out of Brious after having seen us along the road from their job for a while and the second one by a young guy going for a job interview in Brioude... I hope he was lucky!!
Then we were in Clermont, but usually our host was away for the day... so we stood there in the center for a while and decided to walk into the nearest park that we could see to relax, since we both were pretty tired.
Then we were moving inside the park chilling and my phone rang.. wondering if I should answer for spending the credits, I did and the message was 'look left' and its then that we met with our host for the coming nights Laurent.
It was a pretty cool and sudden meeting. The magical world of hospitality, we went to his place to leave our bags and then we stayed there to relax some more during the day. .. reading, eating and having a nap.
Later we went out in town with Laurent and the friends guests he was having over (a young family) and we walked to have a glimpse of the festivities at the Tram opening day. The sun was slowly going down and we enjoyed the time there walking in the crowd gathered by that inauguration day of the first tram line of Clermont-Ferrand.
We went for a drink with other people and later, Dylan and me left to go to the supermarket to get some food for the evening meal and for the next day as well, We finally found the shop and then on the way back Dylan wondered if he could play and try to earn money playing Poi with fire... Not willing to say if it would be allowed of not I let him go ask the police, who finally seemed fine with it
So on the main square he prepared himself and started and did several round of it (as you may see on the pictures) the crowd gathered to enjoy the view. Still I was not at ease to ask for money which I did only for the first round.
Still after nearly an hour he got about 35euros... pretty cool!
Then we walked back to Laurent and another punch line of the day is while Dylan was playing the flute, I was eating the bread (Eh, he is playing the flute... and this one is playing the bread).
We went home, cooked and discussed a bit with Laurent. Then I read some more of the history book I started earlier... that was pretty bad but still interesting.

We woke up slowly and finally only left by midday to hitch-hike in direction of the Puy-de-Dome, which is a famous old volcanic mountain outside of Clermont-Ferrand.
It worked well as an old man driving slowly out of the region and having all its time took us to the crosspoint bringing to the mountain. .. then we decided to try catching another ride instead of starting the climbing hiking immediately and someone stops to bring us to the bottom parking lot.
Then we enjoyed the sunny but slightly chill day to start climbing the side of the mountain. I think we did pretty well and reached the top in no-time with some stop during the exercise to enjoy the view on the volcanic chains in the surroundings.
Once on top, we played a lot of doing silly things... enjoying what missed us the most the belgian talks ;)
and going over some commando on the mountain against the french!
Finally, we decided to hitch-hike a car down and it worked fine and with another ride we were back in Clermont... first looking for a backery (which I knew where all closed on Sunday) which let us discover some other corner of the city.
Then we head back to enjoy a great meal and relax at Laurent's place.
