Pooooh ket

Phuket is the main tourist hub for all of Southern Thailand.  I did not intend to go there but cheap flights from Bangkok were too temping for  a quick path to the south. 

I hated it.  By day the dreamy beach views were obstructed by topless saggy seventy year-olds and speedos half covered in grey haired beer-bellies.  By night the local working girls dominated the scene yelling out dirty one-liners and grabbing packages to unsuspecting chaps walking by.  Mix in some very overpriced accommodation and even more ridiculously priced restaurants and you get a big booooo unrns for Pooooohket.  I made a veto decision and we left for Phi Phi after only one day.
