I wish I could remember what we did during the day

Hard Rock Cafe (I scanned one of the free post cards that came with my meal)

Monday night we went to The House Of Blues and had some excellent gumbo while watching a live blues performance.  Out at a bar on Bourbon Street after, I met a couple of local girls and got some good intel on where to find the “real” culture of New Orleans - places where the locals go.  They referred me to a couple of bars outside of the French Quarter as well as a good diner for a plate of jambalaya.

We stayed on Bourbon Street that night enjoying the walk-up window bar service at the different pubs.  It was so nice to freely drink in the streets in an environment where that’s legal.  Berry and I stayed out later than the other guys that night to hit the strip clubs.  Berry eventually lead the way since I was too inebriated to choose a direction.  The first one or two places were nice and the “dancers” were attractive.  When we ventured off the main drag to some back-alley club, however, the atmosphere was a little too seedy for my liking.  Berry had forgotten his wallet that night, so he borrowed what cash I had and once that was gone, we walked back to the Marriott and got some sleep.
