Left about 8am today, long after the other cars. They always rush off and leave us because we have the cook who needs to pack away her gear, but our driver (Juan) is the best and knows all the cool short cuts so we usually arrive before the others anyway, and get some exciting sand driving on the way. Furthermore, the other two cars got flat tyres, but not ours because Juan knows his car (na, na, na, na, na!!) First stop was the ¨stinky lagoon¨which we think is actually the Laguna Verde but no-one was very clear on that! Saw lots of flamingos here, very pale in colour but lovely in flight with their black-tipped wings. Had lunch here and had to use the open air toilet (ie: find a big rock!). One thing about tours organised by the fellas, they forget that women can´t just turn their backs and pee standing up!
Next stop was the stone tree, which is a rock that looks like a tree, found in a small rocky outcrop jutting up from the desert.
