This is my second time here. The pictures I've posted are from both visits. This time I've made the trip with my two American friends. We set out from Bad Aibling at 4:30 in the morning. The drive was more or less uneventful if you don't count an accident happening right in front of you and a muffler or bumper landing in your lane. Good for us that I am such an excellent driver. hahaha
We got to Rust at about 9 am. We checked into our rooms at the Pension Klem and started walking to the park. Why not pay for parking you ask? I don't know. I was just so tired from driving already. After all we didn't switch or anything, so it was me all the way.
The German village
Trust me I was wide awake after that muffler or bumper incident. hehe
So we finally made it to the park at around 9:30 am after a quick breakfast at one of the bakeries. Yum. If you ever make it to Germany you have to check out the bakeries. "Panera" is probably the closest thing to a "real" bakery. hahaha Sorry, no offense!
Since it was my second time here I already had an idea of what to expect and so I let my friends decide where to go. My buddy Jimmy wanted to check out the Silverstar, supposedly the fastest roller coaster in Europe, if that is true, I don't know! After a short wait we finally made it to the front of the line. (You can either get in line for the front seats, or in the other for all of the other rows.) We decided it wasn't worth waiting the extra 30 minutes just to sit all the way in the front.
Silverstar Roller coaster, supposedly the fastest one in Europe FUN!!
The ride was fun and fast! :-)
After that we headed for the Greek part of the park because it was getting kinda hot and I wanted to get on the water ride to cool off. So we did and got really wet. I don't remember it being so bad from last time. hmmm Maybe it was because the pool had been filled over night and there was more water. hahaha All in all, the Greek village is my favorite out of all the other ones. I want to go to Greece so bad, maybe that's why I enjoy it so much. The village has the signature white houses with blue shutters. The ride "Poseidon" looks like a Greek temple from the outside. There is a few other rides like the "Cassandra's curse" but we skipped that one cause I got so dizzy the last time I went on it. Your in a swing seat going back and forth and the room, I mean the walls are spinning the opposite direction.
In the Austrian, village
Lemme tell ya, that is not good for my stomach.
We went on all the other bigger rides as well, "Euro-MIR" in the Russian village, "Fjord-Rafting" in Scandinavia, the "Matterhorn Blitz" and the "Swiss Bob" in Switzerland, the "Enzian coaster" in Austria and the "Eurosat" in France. All of them are fun, not all of them worth standing in line for. My tip go counter clockwise if you get here early. If you arrive later in the day it doesn't really matter. You'll find something to do no matter what.
I know they've added a few new things as well, so check it out! The season starts in March and make sure there are no German school vacations when you come here cause it will be packed!!
