We bought the day pass for both parks at once. Universal and Islands of Adventure. We had no idea what Island of Adventure was about so we first walked into Universal to check out some of the movie rides. It was a really hot day so we started out with the Shrek 3D show.
We left a little early so we could check on Jaws again. We were lucky and only had to wait for 30 minutes. haha The ride was, well, ok.
The best ride at Universal in my book is "The mummy" that was soooo much fun. The wait however was horrible. The hallways that you were being forced through were NOT air conditioned and I was about to faint when it finally was our turn after 1 1/2 hours of standing in line. Don't trust the sign outside which had showed a waiting time of 35 minutes when we walked in.
Now we were off to Islands of Adventure. We headed for the first rollercoaster that was in site which happened to be the "Hulk". WOW!!! I haven't been on too many rollercoaster in my life but that was by far the craziest one for me. I actually caught myself wishing it was over half way through. I screamed, and I wasn't the only one. I was so glad when I got out. Boy, what a ride. Would I do it again? Probably, but not at this stay. hahaha I was really glad that lunch was 4 hours ago otherwise it wouldn't have been fun. hahaha ewwwww
The sun was burning down now without a break and we decided to find the Dudley Do Right Falls. Yeah, a water ride. They are not kidding about the you'll get wet part.
So now soaking wet we felt a lot better about the heat and then the sun disappeared. Just my luck, really. So with squeeking showes and wet clothes we kept on exploring the park. I wanted to see the Jurassic Park theme so this is were we went next. They had a float boat tour here and all we wished for was to not get wet again. lol It was a nice break from walking all over the park in the heat.
This was pretty much the end of our adventure since we had waisted most of the day at the other park. We didn't get to go on any of the other roller coaster. :-( But there is always another time for that.
All in all, I really enjoyed Islands of Adventure more. I wish I would have known more about before I went. I would have started there and would have done Universal afterwards if at all.
I did have to buy a change of clothes because I was in no shape for sitting in an air condition blazzing car for 2 hours on the ride back to Indialantic. So here's my tip for this trip, bring a change of clothes and a ziplock bag for your camera! ;-)
