Things are changing around here

Today it rained and rained and rained some more. Spent most of the day online researching my day tomorrow and was invited for an early dinner. Afterwards my mum-in-law and I went for a stroll on the Coney Island boardwalk.

Lots has changed around here. They are finally turning this eye-sore around. It's about time. I always found it more appalling then inviting. I'm impressed now. For the past years it was a back and forth, shutting down vs reopening and renovating. I'm glad the powers that be decided to turn this area back around and make the amusement park "newsworthy" again.

That being said, it was very foggy and I couldn't really get a good luck at it. Plus, they still had drapes around the fences so you couldn't really see what was going on in there. They are suppose to be done for the season opening in less than two weeks. We will see...

The NY aquarium "next door" is also being remodeled. Lots is going on in the area, and I probably won't recognize the area when I come back next time. Let's hope so! Change is good!

I took an updated picture of the Hot Dog Eating Contest sign the old records have been broken... no surprise there.
