Entrance to mini-a-tuer
Woke up in the morning and was actually greeted by the sun! So after breakfast we jumped into the car and my dad took us on another adventure.
Adventure, because he usually makes trips up while he goes. He just starts driving and I guess comes up with places to go while doing so.
So after driving on the highway and then up a mountain on the one side and then down again on the other, through woods and little villages we finally got to what I thought was our final destination. We got out of the car and it was nice and warm outside. Warm enough to leave the jacket in the car but of course I dragged mine along, because I know me and I get cold fast.
So this place that he took us to was called Mini-a-thuer, a word game with the states name Thueringen and what it actually was.

An outdoor exhibit for miniatures of famous buildings of Thueringen. I thought...... grrrreat!
It was actually a lot more interesting then I had thought. Especially since we wouldn't go to all the actual buildings, due to lack of time. After all I would only stay for one more day.
When you first walk in there's a really nice pond on the right hand side and then the whole exhibit unfolds in front of you up the slope of the mountain. The miniatures are numbered and you get a little leaflet when you buy your ticket. It contains the names of the buildings in order of their spot in the exhibit. I had never been to any of the real buildings except the Wartburg from the previous blog.
So we made our way through slowly. Taking lots of pictures and my dad was especially interested in one of them. Turns out it was really close to this exhibit and that's where we would go after we got done here. Of course he didn't mention any of this.
There is a nice little restaurant on the premises so we got a quick snack and some rest. Not to far from the restaurant there was a little playground for children, with a little train that you could actually get on and ride around the area and a petting zoo with goats, rabbits and guinea pigs. lol
After we finished looking at all the miniatures we got back in the car with destination... unknown...
