Watch out for the Crazies in Montana

We went to visit my family in Montana over the Thanksgiving holiday. Decided to stay at a local Super 8 Motel instead of staying with family. WHAT A MISTAKE THAT WAS!!! The beds were like sleeping on solid wood. The "so-called" continental breakfast consisted of stale cereal and danish. Not to mention that the cereal was stored in plastic containers anyone could put their hands in to dish out the food. Oh, and if you request to talk to the Manager/Owner of this location regarding any concerns you might have with her motel, WATCH OUT!!! She'll call the Flathead County Sheriff's Dept on you, tell them a bunch of lies and have you removed from the premesis. The Flathead County Sherffi's Dept was also a gem to work with. As far as they were concerened, "she's just a little widow lady and wouldn't lie at all".
We were so glad to leave that location. Went around the corner, found a different room at the Glacier Inn which turned out to be the best thing!! The beds were very comfortable, service excellent and the owner a completely gracious and wonderful person to work with.
We contacted the Corporate offices for Super 8 and they have refused to do anything about the Columbia Falls, MT location since it's a franchise. This tells me that they have very little control over their franchise locations and have no desire to make them adhere to any type of standard at all. We'll never stay at another Super 8 again.
Other than that one incident, our trip was great. As usual, we ate too much turkey and stuffing, but went home glad that I didn't have to cook this year.
