Bus Picked us up around 10:30, so had a last look around the chinese theatre (hand and foot prints, etc., of the stars outside), took some photos and got last minute souvenirs.
No major problems at the airport, I had to take my boots off to go through customs!
We had two Aussie girls on the bus to the airport - from Darwin. One couldn't find her purse, so all (including driver - who was very good) went searching the bus. She finally found it ... hidden away in a bag!
Arrived Las Vegas ... BLOODY HOT!! 38 degrees and humid.
We are staying at the New York New York - it is HUGE - in fact, everything is huge! Each hotel/casino takes up a city block or more - they are small cities on their own, with shops, restaurants and theatres. Ours has a roller coaster that circles the property!! One level is devoted to a children's arcade. I don't think we will see the entire hotel while we are here, let alone anything else. It is set up to look like the New York skyline outside and imitates some of the streets and shops inside.
Everything is BIG!!
Went for a short walk (when we found our way outside, that is!) down the strip - still very hot. Came back to motel and had chinese for dinner, with, of course, a bottle of wine - need it to get over the culture shock!!
