Universal Studios Tour

Slept Ok (in fact was late getting going!) We had to find our own way to Universal, so took the metro (only one stop up the line), then a shuttle service to the studios.
We had a quick look around ant then began our V.I.P. tour - we got a small shuttle with a small group of people and toured parts of the lot that others don't get to see. We did the King Kong bit, with downed helicopter and all!! We experienced an earthquake (the only one I want to experience too!), complete with train wreck. Experienced flash flood and .. Yep .. Jaws! (really appreciated that one - he's about as rubbery as in the movie!!), good stuff! Went through the Mummy pyramid - complete with scarab beetles crawling over everything (and everyone - yuck!).
We left the tour slightly early (refraining from trying out all the rides - The Mummy and Terminater were not really our cup of tea!)
Had lunch at the chop house - huge meal - got doggy bag (which became dinner later!!).
They had the premiere of The Exorcist at Mann's on the night, so press and celebs (don't have a clue who was in it!!) out and about. They were hosting pre-preview drinks at our hotel, so a lot of the restaurants and other areas were "off limits" to us plebs!!
