This trip was to be a combination of visiting new places and sight-seeing and also visiting family and friends not seen for sometime. It was to take 7 weeks and three countries, two of which we had not visited before. Our extravaganza would take us to America, The UK and Thailand travelling on a business class, around the world ticket - a treat to ourselves!!

First Stop - Los Angeles

Arrived LA - it's still Tuesday 17th August and we arrived at 11:00 am (the same time we left Home??!! - it's getting crazy already).

Staying at the Roosevelt Hotel on Hollywood Boulevard (we can walk outside and see the stars on the side-walk (oops talking American already!!).

Checked out shops (doesn't take me long!)  Grauman's Chinese Theatre is across the street, along with several other cinemas (including the Kodak Theatre where they have premieres and hold the oscars ceremony).

Found a great Italian Restaurant with a Jazz Band playing for an added touch - very nice.
