My legs ache !!! Their not the worst part. I mention this at breakfast and Tonu from latvia who had walked as far as I had cycled felt the same. We agreed to hire a car and Bjorne joined us in this adventure.
We drove up to Rano Kau for more breathtaking views, even on a second viewing it is mystical place, awe inspiring. We took the car to Ahu Akivi where 7 Moai are positioned. A short drive to the coast at Ahu Tapeu where the Moai are on the beach front. We stopped for lunch a simple chicken dish grilled fresh why you have a beer.
We took a visit to Rano Raraku and Tongariki although seeing the same statues as yesterday they are so amazing and unique that you wouldn't get bored of it. For a long time of just seeing TV programmes about this place, you then realise how fortunate and wonderful it is to actually pitch up and see them in real life. If you've got a spare few days in your life make an effort to come here you will not be dissapointed !!
Took load more photos and just took it all in, it is not often you are in the navel of the world !!!
We had excellent dinner in the French restaurant and went on to the festival to see day 2, more of the same from the dancers, monologues and band, but a really brillant evenings entertainment.
