Didn't have much sleep on our first night as we have to get up early the next day. I have to get up first and take a shower because it takes me a really long time to have one (especially when there's hot water and our hotel provided me with loads of it). For a guy, I was surprised that Abet also took a long time to get a shower but my brother still takes only 10 minutes so he definitely had to be the last one.
We went out for breakfast at McDonald's but had to take it away (or take out) because we didn't have much time as we were going to have a city tour that day from our tour package. Again, the people working at McDo weren't capable of english.
So the tour package Abet found for us says that for the first half of the day we were going to have a tour of the city of Hong Kong.
The boat tour lasted for about...hmmmm not more than ten minutes. Felt like I wasted money and I did have some suspicions that our tour guides got some commision or something for this sort of thing. We got back on the bus and thankfully the tour guide is talking more about interesting things like why hanging clothes outside apartment building windows are so common (space is expensive in hong kong).
When we got there, NO JACKIE CHAN. Freaking disappointing! I was so bored all the time I was there. They kept showing us all sorts of lucky charms and jewelries. Luck for health, fortune, happiness and love. Most of them were really expensive. So many tourists were checking out these jewelries but we were just so bored and wanted to leave so bad. Though I couldn't help but need those luck so I bought 3 charm bracelets (3 because you will get a discount hahaha) but I only bought the cheap ones because, well still no luck in money for me at that time.
The second half of the day for us will be spent in Shenzhen, China. I really had no idea about this place and I was even thinking it was some sort of a small city somewhere in mainland China. But I was wrong. Really wrong. Shenzhen wasn't small. It's already a big city with already a big number of skyscrapers. We also had a tour guide there and she was pretty nice. She picked us up at the Immigration on the border of Hong Kong-Shenzhen. After checking in at our hotel, we went out to McDonald's and ate our lunch. Then I think we went back to our hotel and rested for a couple of hours until she picked us up again for dinner.
I asked her to take us to the tallest building in the city to get some view of Shenzhen after eating.
After that, our tour guide took us back to the hotel and we were on our own again so we decided to explore the city that night. Hmmm,,, what can I say? Well, they've got loads of department stores. Many are very fancy and those types which I couldn't afford to shop at. But shopaholics would definitely love them. Then we went back to our hotel and slept... ZZZzzzz...
