Farewell to the group

Well after Mt Cook there was only one thing to do. Head back to Christchurch, this meant another 6 hours of driving! As you get close to Christchurch, rural scenic New Zealand disappears and become the bland anonymous landscape that could be anywhere in the new world. I really enjoyed my time with the group and the next day was difficult with no pre-planned itinerary or Sue to lead me !
