From Saigon to Phnom Penh

Phnom Penh Travel Blog | Travelogue | Travel Journal

It was a very nice travel experience to Cambodia. The Angkor Temples are truly magnificent! I miss biking around the Angkor Wat! Too bad it was raining on my last day of stay in Siem Reap, so my biking was cut short... Aside from the great historic monuments, the Cambodian people are very friendly. I enjoyed their hospitality. Hope you enjoy viewing the pictures I selected here....

From Saigon to Phnom Penh

Border crossing between Vietnam (from Saigon) and Cambodia (going to Phnom Penh) ... Took a bus from Saigon going to Phnom Penh.

After a few days in Vietnam (south), I was excited to move on to my next destination - Cambodia.  All I can think of about Cambodia are the Angkor temples and Angkor Wat was always in my mind during this trip.   I arrived in Phnom Penh via bus from Ho Chi Minh and decided to spend two days before proceeding to my ultimate destination - Siem Reap for Angkor Wat.

Upon arrival, I lost no time to go around the capital of Cambodia via tuktuk.  Saw the major landmarks of the city.  One interesting moment in my city excursion was when I stopped to a "temple" where there were many monkeys.  Children were selling a type of fruit (forgot the name) as food for the monkeys.  I wanted to try feeding the monkeys but I chickened out!
