Trying to find a good site for some picture taking
We went back to Ronnies and I told her that we were just dropping by some stuff and then going out to Seth's birthday party... she announced whe wasn't going... which wasn't really a big surprise to me because she's not too social of a person. When I went out there in June of 2006 her friends would ask her to go places and she would say... oh no, not today but ask Julie... she called me her fill in.
But Brandon and I told her that we wanted to go and get a photograph of the skyline at night and we were thinking the Brooklyn Bridge. She told us to go to the Promenade by taking the Q to Atlantin/Pacific stop and transfering to the 4 to Borough Hall and then walking down to the shore. There was only one problem. We got discombobulated and started walking the wrong way.
.. we turned around... found our way to city hall---brandon, of course, thinks it's from a movie he's seen---and we finally find our way towards the water. Along the way Brandon stops... just like he did when we were in coney island he he thought he saw Bridget Moynahan... what is it I ask... I think I just saw Jeff Daniels he says... you know the guy from Arachnophobia and Dumb and Dumber? Ummm... it's possible and we keep on walking.Well, the one thing I've learned is I have a bladder of a camel and brandon had to use the restroom again. The only thing open are restaurants and coffee shops. I always feel bad using restrooms when I don't support them so we went into the starbucks and I got a hot tea... which as usual was way too hot. But I got to try a new tea... yay! I got to try a new tea called wild sweet orange... I love teas... I drink hot tea all year round!
The promenade is very beautiful...but I recommend a tripod if you go. I had a hard time balancing my camera (even on a high ISO). The view is perfect for a romantic evening and will take your breath away. it's something that is totally recommended for everybody who goes to New York!
But this restaurant is a dive on the side of the street with a lot of classic history with it. The hot dogs come up very quickly and you can get them with a lot of toppings; including saurkraut, hot cheese, chili, mustard, and ketsup. The hot dogs are nice and plump and flavorful and the bun doesn't dwarf their size. Each bite is loveliness to our mouth!
By the way... the hotdogs in the grocery store by Nathan's don't do the ones at Coney island justice... you have to try the originals atleast once!
