Finally i can go for a year end holiday and yeah i can spent my new year's eve not here in jakarta or my hometown bandung...it was excited when i decided to go alone for this trip...after bought all those tiring connected flights from jakarta to batam then took a ferry to singapore then flew by tigerairways to bangkok then headed back to singapore by another low-cost airlined airasia then yeah another ferry before went back home to jakarta by airasia...pfhhh all on budget!! Hahaha...

Anyway, my trip began on Dec, 23...my 1st stop was Singapore and stayed there for two nites in some bugged hostel near Mustafa Centre...damn bugs...sucking my blood!!!

The following day i decided went towards Kampong Glam, this was on my list...really..i have been visiting Singapore for quite few times and all i did just seeing cool skycrapers and some old buildings around Civic District...so visiting Kamplong Glam was like the new excitement for me...especially on my mind was like "oohh i am going to see old shophouses and old buildings!!! thats cool!!"

MALAY HERITAGE CENTRE

Hopping onto the MRT from Ferrer Park Station and stopped at Bugis Station..i walk towards the Arab Street to find the Istana Kampong Glam...walking those distance and seeing those trees makes me feels good especially when you finally reach the area of Kampong Glam...old shophouses, nice windows and ornaments...really a perfect area for me!! Wandering wandering wandering!!! Hahahaha...Finally reached the old house called Istana Kampong Glam and it was quiet very...i only met a lady sitting there under the tree painting the Istana/Palace...it's a chic and petit palace with modern fountain infront...and yeah it was closed due to Christmas holiday i guess...

Istana Kampong Glam from the gate that i saw on the entrance was built in 1840...and yes this place or area is the area when people from Malay Archipelago having a transit here before heading to Mecca...ot's a nice area with mostly shophouses around the area...and one another big yellowy house called Gedung Kuning and now it's a restaurant serving Malay food...

Walking around this Istana you can still feel the grandeur of all those Sultans even tho this place is a small place for a palace...

MASJID SULTAN/SULTAN'S MOSQUE

I walk towards the MASJID SULTAN now...which actually if i cheated on my map that i brought the MASJID SULTAN it's only few steps from the Istana kampong Glam...but yeah i really wanna do it in order...the order came from this book of course hahaha...

From afar you can really see those golden dome...a nice dome...and grandeur! Sultan's Mosque was built in 1928...and this is the biggest mosque in Singapore...once i entered this mosque i can feel its calm and peaceful atmosphere...those high ceiling and open hall gives you the cooler air inside...i went there at lunch time so it was the perfect time for me to pray there too...

Right infront of the main entrance is the Busorah Mall, catually it's a street infront of the main entrance with shophouses old shophouses where the merchants selling mostly traditional malay handicraft...but there are few shops that really catchy to me...selling old things like handicraft from Java, Malay or Singapore itself...yes batik are many here too...walk here such a nice short walk...you can stop for a drink at some quirky cafe owned and managed by young singaporean...very laidback...

My story will continue to another sites in singapore... :)
