My permanent address is in the great state of New Jersey!! Despite being compared to as the armpit of the country (which is an unfair description given by blind haters!) I think NJ rocks!! We have it all from our "weird" denizens, adventures in NYC and PHilly, best grown tomatoes, beaches, strong art culture, mountians and plenty of diversity!!! Whats not to love??

Art inside and out!!
I have always loved walking around Princeton University. The campus can easily be described as a museum with out walls. There are plenty of sculptures gracing the academic landscape depicting a variety of aesthetics and many were created by well established artists featured art history courses across the country!

But if your in the mood for a museum with walls you can enter the campus via Nassau Street and follow the path toward the back. You'll notice a plain building with a row of massive headless figures stepping forward (Artist: Magdalena Abakanowicz). The museum entrance is to the right.

Entrance is free unless you arrive with a large group of people and expect a tour. There are two levels to the museum. Downstairs are galleries exhibiting priceless works of art from africa, china, ancient rome and greece and precolumbia america. Upstairs features works from the Italian Renaissance to Colonial American to the French impressionists to contemporary artists of the last century.

In my opinion I think Princeton University has one of the best and well displayed collections of art for a University. Its easily accessible to both the public and for those in a wheelchair. If you are physically disabled please call them and they will direct you on where to park so your visit will be a little easier.

hours are 10 to 5 and closed on mondays..

you can check their website for additional information http://artmuseum.princeton.edu/
