Let me just preface this by saying that it's not actually possible to put in to words how good this day was! I'll skim over the best of it, but I hope the pictures do it some justice.
We managed to get tickets up in the heart of the green and gold army in the end so we were in prime position for the Aussie chants. In the build up to the game it seemed to be the Aussies filling up the stadium first so there was massive rendition of Land down under echoing around the ground, I presume the Japanese were filling up the beer-lines.....oh no wait that was Australians too ;) I wouldn't be suprised if a lot of the scalpers tickets went to Aussies, and as for those stringent security measures, they slapped our passports away at the gate and our friends Lindi and Kegs got in to the game 5 mins after kick off as Ronnie and Tania :)
As for the game itself, absolutely freakin unbelievable!!!! The Aussie crowd did pretty well making some noise, I think the best of the chants had to be "You only sing when you're whaling!" :) There were guys hopping around in kangaroo suits, many blow-up kangaroo of course and Hamish looking like an yellow swamp monster.
We will always remember "Cahill time" :)
