Sorry this didn't end up getting updated that much, too pricey in Europe!! There's a few photos though, use the summary list to see which entries have them. All in all covered Switzerland, Germany (though drunk :) ), Spain with a dash of London.

Fly in to Geneva to begin whirlwind tour of Switzerland.

My little free info brouchures that would have to substitute for a guidebook

Well it was good to be in Europe and I was feeling good at the start of a 5 day whirlwind tour through Switzerland so would take me up to Germany to cheer the Socceroos on in the World Cup.  Getting very excited now :)))

Now I wasn't actually staying in Geneva tonight, so first of all i had to find my way to Leysin.  Given that I didn't invest in a Europe guidebook I was at the mercy of my brain here :)

I was quite happy with the sample of Lake Geneva that I got to see skirting alongside it on my way to Aigle.  Apparently I could change there and find my way up some hills to the Hiking Sheep hostel for the evening.

It was nice to be on comfortable pulic transport too after the various forms of discomfort that my butt was subjected to in S.E. Asia, and I'm not just talking about the Thai massage as I left Bangkok airport
